Random Word Warm-Ups
Featuring images of random symbols mixed together to create random metaphors, for word starters, you could display an image, tell the class that it’s a metaphor, and you want them to brainstorm what it could mean, telling them to focus on their vocabulary. Or, you could ask them to describe the images with careful focus on their vocabulary.
